Swing 3 will keep things going from Swing 2 and there is a lot of fun and amazing things in this series. A lot of people have been eagerly awaiting to learn Lindy Hop and Swing Outs, well this is the class for you! We will break down the Swing Out and help you with your technique. Don't worry there are a lot of other great moves and stylings in this class as well! It is so packed with material that your heads will explode after each class.

Take this class if: You have taken Swing 2 and are looking to learn more. If you haven't taken Swing 2 and think you want to take this class, please talk to me before hand.

Students can receive a discount on classes if they bring their student ID with them to the first class. In order to register for the discount, just use the drop down menu at the bottom of the page. What defines a Student for class discounts?

Swing 1 - September 2010

Swing 1 will get you dancing in only 6 weeks! Each class is an hour and 15 minutes, packed with moves, style and FUN! Come out and meet some new people while the Toe Tappin' Swing instructors get your feet moving and your body jumping! No experience necessary, no partner required. We will rotate the couples so that you will get a chance to meet and dance with everyone. What is Swing Dancing?

Take this class if: This is your first time dancing or you need a refresher in the fundamentals of Swing.

We will be taking a break until the beginning of September. Please join us every Friday during the summer at the Mount Pleasant Community Hall for The 'A' Train. Beginner lesson starts at 8:30pm.

Swing 4 will challenge what you know about swing dancing. We will be covering moves and technique in Lindy Hop and Charleston (20s and 30s). We will show you moves that you would have thought were impossible or never had the chance to learn. Have you been watching Youtube videos and want to learn the cool stuff that you see there? This is the class for you.

Take this Class if: You have taken Swing 3 and are looking for cooler and more fun ways to improve your swing outs and charleston!

Swing 2 - June 2010

Swing 2 is the continuation of Swing 1 and is a great class to take if you have previous social dancing experience in other styles. This class will make you think and move in ways you didn't think possible. Challenge yourself and get ready to learn new and exciting moves, as well as the techniques needed to master Lindy Hop that is taught in our Swing 3 class.

Take this class if: You have taken Swing 1 and are eager to learn new moves, or if you have experience in other forms of social dance like Ballroom, West Coast Swing, Latin, just to name a few. If you have any questions about if you should take this class, please Contact Us.

Imagine a dance floor so crowded that it is illegal to separate from your partner! This dance originated in Southern California in the 1930s when swing music was at its peak. This 4 week series is all about fancy feet and glamour. Come out and meet some new people while the Toe Tappin' Swing instructors get your feet moving and your body jumping! No experience necessary, no partner required. We will rotate the couples so that you will get a chance to meet and dance with everyone.

Swing 2 will expand on the moves and techniques you learned in Swing 1. We will play with different moves and styling while stretching what you thought possible on the dance floor. Also, we will be introducing triple steps and preparing you for the craziness that is Swing 3!

Take this class if: You have taken Swing 1 and want to learn even more new moves and to push your dancing to the next level. Or if you have taken classes in another form of social dance, this is a great place to start learning how to Swing.

Teacher Training - October 2009

Are you interested in teaching for Toe Tappin' Swing or another group around town? In this four week class, we will teach you how to be a fun and engaging swing dance instructor. We will show you techniques on teaching different styles of classes, new moves and fundamentals that all instructors should know. Expect to teach a new move to the class and to expand your mind about teaching.

Joel and Louise Workshop Followup
